"If you want to die, you should come to me."
The "Flame of Heretics" Kept Burning by Benzo San'untei, Founder of Female Excretion Ichimonkai

Benzo San'untei

There are places in society where the light never shines.
Human "karma" that is covered up with lip service and ignored. There is a maker that continues to face this and garners enthusiastic support. That is "Female Excretion Ichimonkai".

This time, we conducted an exclusive interview with its founder and general director, Benzo San'untei. With a thick chest forged by 10 years of muscle training and a sharp glint quietly shining behind his glasses, what he spoke of with his own mouth was a rebellion against obsequious despair and a deep, passionate "love" for the outcasts.

Rebellion from Despair and Exploitation: "I will be your salvation"

In the first place, why did you launch a maker in this extremely niche and often taboo genre?
Benzo San'untei:

"It started, of course, with my own fetish. I've always liked videos like peeping into toilets. But everyone with this fetish suffers the same pain. Falling into self-hatred, thinking, 'Why do I have such a disgusting fetish?' or 'I want to die,' yet still being irresistibly drawn to it. However, if you fulfill such desires in reality, you will be erased from society. That's why I jumped into a maker that handled such content."

You affirmed your own karma and dared to walk the path of a creator.
Benzo San'untei:

"Yes. However, since it was a maker dealing with such underground things, there were naturally many people with strong quirks. It was what you'd call a completely 'black' (exploitative) company today. The word 'exploitation' fits perfectly. The company had money. I had youth and overflowing ideas. But they wouldn't let me use the money. So I couldn't give back to the maniacs.

Then, I thought I could be closer to the thirst of maniacs if I did it myself. I thought I could be the salvation for comrades who despair over their fetishes and think 'I want to die.' And at the same time, I wanted to show the world, 'There is a way to live like me!'"

"If you want to die,
come to my place!"

The Unseen Utopia and the "One Phrase" That Solidified His Resolve

Now that you are independent and releasing works packed with your ideals into the world, are you satisfied with the current situation?
Benzo San'untei:

"No, actually, I haven't been able to pack 100% of my ideals yet. My ultimate ideal is to 'build a public toilet studio taking up an entire floor.' I haven't reached that point yet. But thankfully, we have more funds than before, and we are now able to make works that are closer to our ideals."

When was the exact moment your resolve to "live in this world" was completely solidified?
Benzo San'untei:

"When I was approaching my 30s and working as a freelance director, there was a time when I was lost in how to live my life while getting caught up in some troubles. I was very cornered. Should I really stay in this industry? Just then, I received a message from a comrade who saw my work.

'Thank you for making such a work, I will treasure it for the rest of my life.'

The moment I saw those words, my resolve was solidified. Ah, I am being useful to someone. I finally braced myself to live my life being useful to someone on this path."

A "Flame" for Outcasts to Gather and Keep Warm

Currently, many staff members are gathered under you. What kind of place do you want this "Ichimonkai" to be?
Benzo San'untei:

"'If you don't have money, come to me. I don't have any either, but don't worry.' ...Bold men of the past used to say things like that, and I want Ichimonkai to be exactly that kind of place. However, unlike people in the past, I won't say something irresponsible like, 'Things will work out eventually.' Things won't just work out eventually."

"We are going to work it out
with our own hands."
Carving out your destiny with your own hands.
Benzo San'untei:

"Yes. That's why I stoke the fire here. I will keep it burning without letting it die. So, if you have time to say that life is hard or you want to die, you should come here and warm up. And I want to say, come help so that the flame never goes out. I hope Ichimonkai can be a warm place where everyone can find warmth."

Finally, what kind of life do you want the Ichimonkai staff working with you to lead?
Benzo San'untei:

"I want them to make this currently difficult world easier to live in, affirm themselves, and achieve 'self-realization.' And I want them to live so that their muddy yet powerful way of life becomes a 'role model' for someone else. This is a place where those who have fallen out of society can survive by joining forces. We will continue to prove that."

【Editorial Note】

Even while carrying a "karma" that will never be understood by the world, he does not feel ashamed of it but sublimates it into sustenance for someone else to live. The man named Benzo San'untei is a dark hero who continues to burn the flame with bottomless passion.
If there is anyone lamenting that they have no place to belong right now, why not gather your courage and jump into the ring of fire he burns?
